[Alhaitham is reading a book while Kaveh is scribbling away, because of course he is, and he occasionally pauses to take a drink of his coffee without making any comment on what the other man is doing.
Until he's asked, then he looks over the top of his book before tilting it slightly towards his chest.]
It looks good.
[He is fairly sure he would be fine with anything Kaveh came up with, though.]
[He catches that look with a brief glance up and just raises his eyebrows, as if to say 'what?'. The kind of reaction Kaveh is wanting is probably not the kind of reaction that Alhaitham is capable of producing for him. At least not honestly.]
So long as it fits and is comfortable, I'm happy with whatever you like.
[This is probably going to become an up-all-night problem...]
[ He knows even before Alhaitham looks at him like that that the other won't give him what he's looking forโand he sighs, shoulders deflating a little right before the other speaks. The romantic in him admittedly likes the thought of Alhaitham seeing a design and falling for it, but realistically that's just not the person his boyfriendโhis fiancรฉ is.
Still, he's likely to be up all night, even as he nods his answer. ]
Yeah. Yeah, I guess so.
[ He's being silly, he knows that. He just wants a symbol, even as he wants it to be perfect. ]
[Alhaitham studies him for a couple of seconds and then shifts in his seat, leaning forwards and reaching across the table to put a hand on his forearm.]
Kaveh. You are the most brilliant architect in Teyvat. Everything that you design is beautiful. I trust your judgement.
[ Alhaitham's quiet reassurance is all he needs. In a lot of ways, it's all he's ever needed, even during those times in the past when he would reject it with such anger. He reaches, his hand coming to rest over the other's for just a moment, and then nods. ]
You're right. I'll think of something. I don't have to get it perfect right now.
[ But at the same time, being the person he is, he wants something... ]
Maybe, in the meantime, we can just wear plain bands?
[They still have their moments. Kaveh is hot-blooded and still comes looking for an argument at times, and Alhaitham is generally content to oblige him his noisy way of letting off steam when he's anxious.]
That sounds fine.
[He squeezes Kaveh's arm then draws his hand back.]
And it'll give me the opportunity to get used to having it there.

"Good" isn't enough, though. It has to be something you look at and realize right away you have to have it...
[ It is probably abundantly and immediately clear to Alhaitham that this could potentially become an up-all-night flavored problem. ]
Are there any changes you want to see?

There's no need to rush it.

[It's... his way of being romantic.]
