Three minutes isn't that much better. [ It's a mumble, a grumble more than anything, even if it is good-natured, even if there's a lazy smile on his lips as that kiss is pressed into his palm.

But— more than anything, the joking aside...

With a soft sigh, Kaveh shifts, pressing his face into the side of Alhaitham's neck, breathing lazy, contented kisses against the darkened patches of skin there. ]

I'm the lucky one.

We're not going to enter a discussion about who's lucky and who's not. [Because he could go into yet another 'well, actually' and say that Kaveh has rotten luck.

He tips his head instead, surprised at how sensitive the skin is on his neck, then remembering that Kaveh left marks all over his neck and shoulder and—

—he had taken precautions to calm down his erection before he stepped out of the room, sure. But he had gone out shirtless. What they've been doing was all over his skin.

Ah, no wonder Cyno looked dazed and Tighnari had very little room for doubt.

He groans, and presses a kiss to Kaveh's forehead.] Are you alright?

[ Later, Kaveh will realize that the groan on Alhaitham's lips sounds almost frustrated or irritated, but in the moment, he has no idea. Rather, he's focused on the warmth of the other's body, the way those arms feel around him and the taste of that sensitive throat under his lips.

It even takes him a moment to process the other's words.

When he does, though, he smiles. ]

Mostly. [ It might seem like a strange answer, when he's curled so contentedly into the other, after those moments of near panic. But the truth is... ]

I still want you, though.

[Alhaitham nuzzles the architect's temple, sighing gently at the way he keeps kissing his neck. His eyes, closed in comfort, open when he feels, senses somehow that Kaveh is smiling, resting at half-mast.

He tugs at his roommate's knees and pulls them to drape them across his lap. He pretends that the topic is very deep as he hums.] Mm. Do you?

[ Those words are met with a gentle sigh, a roll of his eyes when Alhaitham answers with a hum and a question, because he knows the other is just being difficult for the sake of it— but for once, he doesn't actually mind.

Rather, it's endearing—

Archons, what exactly has happened to him? ]

I do. [ It's a contented mumble, a little nip of his teeth against the other's neck. (A punishment.) ] Don't you want me too?

[Alhaitham's shoulder jumps, a slight hitch to his breath, and he nudges Kaveh's face away from his neck with the side of his own with a groan. He gives him a glare, or it would be, were his lips not curled in a smile. He doesn't reply, not yet at least, because he leans in to kiss Kaveh fully, pulling him impossibly closer.]

What a silly question. [He mutters, still taunting between nips and kisses. Insufferable.]

[ He huffs against Alhaitham's lips as the other mutters his disdain, and when he can't complain with nipping teeth against the scribe's neck, he does against his lips instead— at least until he's distracted and enveloped in the kiss. His hands lift, threading up into Alhaitham's hair, a contented sigh slipping off his tongue as he licks into the other's mouth, only pulling back to speak when he's short of breath. ]

I had to make sure you hadn't lost interest in the process of kicking our friends out.

[ The words are light, teasing, and yet of course there's the edge of something more serious behind them even now, an insecurity that Kaveh can't quite keep from creeping in. ]

I was waiting, and now you're back, and I want you.

You clearly don't know me well enough. [He chuckles into Kaveh's mouth, stealing a kiss, two. Three for good measure, as he pulls him up by the waist, settles the architect on his lap to straddle him instead. He'll always want him, always has, and doesn't ever imagine that stopping. Alhaitham has been holding this torch, burning his fingers for longer and more often than Kaveh has burned himself out.

His eyes open just enough so he can look at him through his eyelashes, even as he keeps kissing him, even if he strokes up and down his back, his thighs, his sides.] Guide me, then, Senior. How do you want to do this?

[ He hums in content against the stolen kisses, laughs as he's pulled up against Alhaitham to sit across his lap. His arms circle the other's shoulders, and he sighs, nuzzling into the further kisses offered as the other's fingers skate over his skin. ]

Lazy. [ It's a soft, sweet admonishment to match the smile on his lips, and he fights every single urge within him to tell the other that he should do it however he feels comfortable, however he likes— He knows that Alhaitham won't accept it.

So he smiles, breaks the kiss to peer at him through soft carmine eyes, a hand coming up to brush softly across his skin. ]

Let me lay back on the bed and face you. [ Half because it's kind of what he wants, and half because for their first time together, he thinks it will be easiest. ] You'll probably need to open me up a little again.

[Tilting his head subtly against the touch, Alhaitham's eyes rest at half-mast, heavy and warm. Despite Tighnari's attentive ears not being able to catch the sounds they make, they're still talking soft, low, and it's Kaveh's breath that slips into his ears, attentive at the way his lungs pull for air before he speaks, his exhales shaping sighs of contentment.

He moves his head to place a kiss on the architect's palm—a libation for a tool of his trade—and tugs him sideways, hand steady on hip and leg, making the world spin as he rolls them both so Alhaitham is laying on top of Kaveh instead.

He looks down at him, a slight smile to his lips.] Like this?

[ There's almost a part of Kaveh that regrets telling Alhaitham to lay him down— not because it's not what he wants, but because it means losing the gentle press of that body against his, the easy way that the younger's head can tilt against his, the soft kisses offered against his skin.

Still, he nods in response to Alhaitham's question, his lips twisting in contentment to see the slight smile on the other's. ]

Yeah. Like this.

[ He reaches up, running fingers up and over the younger man's forearms. ]

Go slow this time, okay?

[ He doesn't want a repeat of before, not yet. ]

[While Kaveh regrets changing positions, Alhaitham enjoys it. Scattered golden framing his face, his ruby eyes looking up at him, taut skin softened by how languid he looks. It's such a far cry from the stressed, frazzled state the architect frequently drives himself into.

He leans down and kisses the corner of his mouth, then across his cheek, then along his jawline. He only separates to reach for more of the oil, addicted to the salt on Kaveh's skin, quickly lapping at it when his fingers are newly coated with it, leaning gently to kiss at his collarbones, the center of his chest, two fingers teasing the entrance again.] Like this? [He peers up.]

[ ...Oh, Kaveh is going to kill him.

He pouts a little at the separation, even if he knows what it's for, but then Alhaitham kisses into his collarbones while fingers tease at his entrance, and the whiny groan on his lips is almost immediate. His hips rolling, pressing down against those fingers as if to try and urge him inside, and he glares as best as he can when the other man looks up at him. ]

I said slow, Alhaitham— not frozen.

[ It's not quite the right comparison, not when the combination of hydro and cryo has someone entirely unable to move, but he thinks it drives the point home well enough. ]

Please.

[Not quite the right word, true, and Alhaitham grins, chuckles. He doesn't need to say anything, because Kaveh knows what he would say. He does follow the movement of Kaveh's hips, thrusting the digits to the last knuckle with the momentum, matching the motion slow but with a predictable pace, keeping it steady.] Like this, then?

[ There's a sharp moan on his lips when Alhaitham presses both fingers at once in all the way to the knuckles, making Kaveh's back arch, his own hands dropping to tangle in the sheets, pulling at them as he shudders and moans. ]

Fuck, ah— yes, yes like that—

[ His hips arch against his lover's fingers, his eyes fluttering closed as he moves in time with Alhaitham's movements. ]

[ It's really all Kaveh can manage to say as he lapses into a sharp moan, writhing and twisting under the other man's touches, under the feel of his mouth latched onto his nipple, and somewhere in the middle of it all his tune changes, eyes opening as he peers up at him once more. ]

[Leaving no expanse of skin untouched or unkissed, Alhaitham slowly crawls back upwards, stopping just shy of his lips as he looks down at Kaveh, brushes his hair away from his face, that stubborn strand that keeps falling between his eyes.] More? How much more? [He smiles, tipping his head gently, just enough to tease a kiss a feather away. Kaveh asking for him is the sweetest of melodies, even as he hisses and complains.

He knows he's being contrary. But riling up Kaveh—in more ways than one—gets him to release all the tension he has. Forget about how loud he's being, who may be listening, who may be seeing him in his most true, most genuine self, whimsical and willful and angry at cards he's been given.

Alhaitham twists his fingers, thrusts them into the last knuckle, presses his thumb against the skin of his perineum and rubs small circles there.] Be specific, Kaveh.

[ Kaveh sighs when Alhaitham's mouth forms a trail of kisses up along his skin, tries to tilt his head to catch that kiss and whining when he fails, especially because the other is busy teasing him, using his lack of specificity against him— not for the first time, and probably not the last. Whether he learns from it, though, remains to be seen.

Likely, he won't.

Right now, his hips arch, and he presses up against Alhaitham's fingers, a whine on his lips in response to the thumb rubbing circles over his perineum even as the other presses knuckle-deep; he tries to glare, and fails. ]

Another— nn, another finger. I just need.. a little more before you take me yourself. Please... That's— that's specific enough, right?

That is specific enough. [He leans in to kiss him, gentle, despite everything; fond, so very fond.] I'm impressed. Well done. [And perhaps still a bit unruly.

And to reward exactly what Kaveh has done, he complies, a third finger added, and he keeps meeting the roll of Kaveh's hips, lapping into his mouth in a mimicry of the thrusting. Keeping things methodic helps Alhaitham fight the urge he has to lose it, to make his—lover? Are they lovers now? The nomenclature escapes him—whine even more, see what notes he could reach, and how long it would take for Kaveh to become so frustrated he'd take matters into his own hands, as is his wont to do whenever Alhaitham nudges him enough.

But now it's not the time, and like he said: they have time. He tells himself that each time he has to swallow a moan into his throat.]

[ He smiles his content when Alhaitham praises him, although he's distracted quickly by the additional finger, the tongue that presses into his mouth only enhancing what he feels. He groans and whimpers into the other's mouth, body trembling— it's all he can do not to grab himself, stroke himself to the completion he's starting to feel building at the base of his cock.

He doesn't want that, he wants Alhaitham, not just his fingers but him—

(And Kaveh's not even thinking about the nomenclature, because like this he's taken away from the need to think and dwell and wonder. That will come later, when he has time to think back on all this and ask himself what it means.) ]

[Alhaitham, of course, notices the way he reacts to his words, his lips quirking before pursing on another kiss, before making his mouth open further so he can trace the line of his teeth with the tip of his tongue, like he can find the taste of his name on the flat of Kaveh's.]

I'm only doing what you're asking me to. See? I'm not even moving my hand. [He dips his head to nuzzle his ear.] You're the one taking my fingers so well.

[ Of course, Alhaitham is right— he's not moving his hand, taking advantage of the fact that right now, Kaveh's hips are doing most of the work for them, pressing down and writhing against him in time with the blonde's moans into his mouth. When the scribe breaks free from the kiss, the architect chases him with a whine, but lips and nose are already nuzzling against his ear, and Alhaitham's voice is so low with promise and desire as he says those words that Kaveh feels the warning tense at his groin, gasps out as his head tilts back. ]

Okay— Okay, I'm ready for you.

[ He's probably not, not quite, but anything is better than coming again before they even properly start. ]

[Trembling slightly, Alhaitham slowly removes his fingers, buries his mouth on the architect's neck, holds him tight, wrapping his arms around his waist as he takes a deep breath.] Are you sure? [He rasps, pulling himself up enough to look at his face, considering slathering more oil on himself but knowing that if he does, he'll lose it again.

He can't help but snort, chuckle, breathless and feeling his cheeks heat for the first time in ages.] You drive me crazy.

[ Kaveh breathes a sigh— half of disappointment, half of relief— as Alhaitham withdraws his fingers, and he nods in response to the other's question: he's sure, even if he's not.

And then Alhaitham says that Kaveh drives him crazy, and color runs up the blonde's cheeks to match the other man's, and he bites his lip as he reaches up to brush silver strands back from that tender expression. ]

For the record, you drive me crazy too. [ His hand slips to the back of Alhaitham's neck, pulls him down so that Kaveh's lips may anchor softly against them, and this time his sigh is pure contentment. ] Have for years.
